Set on survival


Greenwich resident Bob Christiansen survived a rare aortic rupture more than a year ago after undergoing surgery at Bridgeport Hospital. If a patient with an aortic rupture does not receive surgery within several hours, there is an 85 percent to 95 percent chance they will die, according Yale University’s School of Medicine.
